Advanced Technology

Some of our newest additions include:

  • Cerec - Cerec is a sophisticated scanning system for the production of all-ceramic (porcelain) inlays, crowns and veneers on both front and back teeth.
    • No conventional impressions: The Cerec 3D camera scans the prepared tooth in juts a few seconds. This eliminates the need for impressions.
    • No temporaries or long waiting periods: Cerec restorations are milled out of solid ceramic (porcelain) block in a few minutes. This eliminates the need for temporary fillings and crowns. It also means that you only need one appointment and don't have to wait for a laboratory to make restoration.
  • Panoramic digital x-ray machine - takes a scanned picture that gives an overall view of your mouth to identify problems. It is very useful for unerupted teeth, infections and areas of bone loss so that the appropriate remedial action can be advised.
  • Digital x-rays - display images directly on the computer screen. Images can be enlarged to identify problems in and around the mouth more easily.
  • Intra-oral cameras - this makes it possible for the patient to view procedures on a screen, which makes understanding easier.
  • Computer programs - we have recently updated our computer system to help us improve our communication with patients and the efficiency of the practice.

Our policy is to invest to improve our service when it is demonstrated to be beneficial to our patients' care or comfort.

Sterilisation

The highest standards of cross-infection control are guaranteed in our surgery. Instruments are sterilised and surfaces disinfected after each patient. Where possible disposable items are used.

Method of Payment

Our fees reflect the high standard of care we provide and it is important to us to ensure that you are completely satisfied with each procedure. In return we ask that the fee for examinations and hygiene visits should be paid as you leave the practice. For more extensive work, we will be pleased to discuss the various arrangements that can be made so you can budget for your care accordingly. Estimates are given for all courses of treatment. We are pleased to accept cheques, cash, Visa, MasterCard and Maestro.

The Denplan Dental Care System

Once your mouth is dentally fit, you have the option of enrolling on the Denplan Care Scheme for your future dental care. You will be advised whether full cover or maintenance only cover is the best for you. Both schemes include accident damage cover up to £10'000, world wide emergency cover and immediate private treatment if oral cancer is diagnosed.

Failed Appointment Policy

Appointments that are cancelled with less than 1 working days notice.  If this space is not filled by another patient there will be a charge for late cancellation.

Complaints Procedure

We value complaints as a way to improve our patient care. Please contact the Practice Manager in case of any complaint.
